Becky Lynch Outwits Alexa Bliss
Prior to the match, a backstage segment took place in which Daniel Bryan "punished" Becky Lynch for "Injuring" Alexa Bliss by scheduling a Women's title match between them for next week's Smackdown. When Alexa took the ring to wrestle La Luchadora, the general consensus would have been Bliss squashing the wrestler. However, after an entertaining match, La Luchadora surprised Bliss by trapping her in the disarm-her and making her tap. Afterwards, the Luchador took off her mask and revealed herself as none other than Becky Lynch.
Why I Liked this Moment
The reveal of Becky Lynch wrestling as the masked luchador was something most fans could see coming. It's not like it mattered though, as the match was still fun to watch, and it felt satisfying to see Lynch finally have the upper hand against Bliss. Not only that, but it also creates some doubt as to who us fans think will win the match due to how we saw Lynch defeat Bliss clean. However, Alexa does not look weak though due to it only being one match. Also on a side note, it was interesting to see Lynch switch up her move-set for this match to more of a showman, crowd pleaser type of style.

Natalya Reveals Herself as Nikki Bella's Attacker
Courtesy of tjrwrestling.net |
Natalya comes out to the ring with a microphone in hand where the announce team gives us viewers a hook going into commercial by stating Natalya is planning on asking Nikki to come out to the ring. After returning from commercial, Natalya asks Nikki to come to the ring so Nattie can explain herself. As soon as Nikki hits the ropes, Carmella's music plays and she makes her way to the ring. The three of them bicker, and after Carmella tells Nikki the things Nattie said about her, Nattie chases Carmella to the back before revealing herself as Nikki's attacker before calling her a bitch a bunch of times and using John Cena's reluctance to marry her as an insult.
Why I Disliked this Moment
Oh boy, where to even begin here. First off, I didn't expect Natalya to be Nikki's attacker simply because it was too damn obvious. With the intriguing and overall, fresh storylines Smackdown has given us since the Brand Spilt, I thought a dark horse candidate like the newly signed Mickie James would have been revealed as Bella's attacker in a few more weeks. Instead, Natalya said bitch a bunch of times, made one really good point as to how Nikki Bella has no charisma, and has been so heavily featured because of her.... assets. Overall, the impact of a wrestler saying the word "bitch" has been reduced to due Nattie saying it with no conviction, and we are now seeing these women enter a story that no one cares about. Basically, this feud was D.O.A. Truly, a dead on arrival angle at it's finest. I would have expected this (and I've even seen it) on Raw, but not on Smackdown. You know what though, if getting crap like this means we get to see entertaining stories like feuds between the Miz and Dean Ambrose, as well as seeing what happens with Carmella and James Ellsworth while seeing tensions rise between A.J. Styles and Baron Corbin, this is a very fair tradeoff.
